The Music Teacher will create a joyful and engaging environment where students develop an appreciation for and understanding of music. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing a developmentally appropriate, student-centered music curriculum for Preprimary (Age 3) through Grade 3.
- Grounding instruction in the Orff and Kodály approaches, integrating singing, movement, instrument playing, and music literacy, with a focus on active music-making.

- Planning and leading music for weekly all-school Morning Meetings.
- Preparing students for performances throughout the year, fostering confidence and collaboration.
- Collaborating closely with classroom teachers and administrators to align music instruction with Concord Hill’s mission, core values, and curriculum.
(Optional) Lead Teacher in our Concord Cubs Program, designed for children aged 18–30 months and their caregivers. This program mirrors a preschool experience, blending learning, play, and exploration to ignite children’s curiosity and foster early developmental milestones.
As a Lead Teacher, the candidate would:
- Design and implement a dynamic, age-appropriate curriculum that goes beyond music education to include early childhood development activities, interactive play, and creative exploration.

- Build connections with caregivers, providing guidance and support to deepen their understanding of child development and foster their children’s enthusiasm for learning.
This aspect of the position requires curricular planning and leadership beyond music education, making it an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a strong background in early childhood education and a desire to foster learning across multiple domains.
