Cub Club
Cub Club is Concord Hill School's extended day program. We offer faculty supervised activities and care for students in all grade levels during the afternoons until 6:00 PM. Students will enjoy a combination of outdoor play, planned activities, and opportunities for further investigation and learning. Cub Club is led by Leila Rajabzadeh, Concord Hill’s Director of Auxiliary Programs.

*Payment Policy for Absences: You are responsible for your child’s full tuition regardless of absences due to illness, vacation, Federal holidays, and/or weather-related school closings.
Drop-In Care
Drop-In care is provided for students to assist with any unexpected or temporary child-care needs should they arise. This coverage is also offered on days when our school is closed due to half-day school closures and Teacher Workdays. This service is not offered during federal holidays or extended school breaks.

ABC Crafting with Mrs. Kaufman & Mrs. McKenna
Join Mrs. Kaufman and Ms. McKenna as students explore their creativity with a class that combines a shared book every week with a fun arts & crafts project!

Soccer Club with Coach Blake Mease & Mr. Mease
Join Coach Kert Mease and his brother Coach Blake Mease at Soccer Club this winter. Soccer Club will focus on the fundamentals of player development including passing, dribbling, shooting and trapping while also emphasizing the importance of teamwork and physical fitness.

Little Doctor School with Little Medical School
Students will step into the shoes of medical professionals, learning essential doctor duties through fun role-play and interactive activities. They’ll explore vital organs such as the heart, lungs, and digestive system. Utilizing actual medical tools like stethoscopes, reflex hammers, and blood pressure cuffs, participants will gain hands-on experience with practices such as scrubbing in for surgery, suturing wounds and mastering surgical knots, just like seasoned surgeons.

Chess Club with Magnus Chess Academy
Learn chess from Magnus Chess Academy! We teach more than 4,000 children each week. State and national champions have come from our programs, but most of our students are just looking to have fun! Class time is split between lesson and play. Lessons range from learning the rules to advanced tournament strategies, depending on the children. Play time is structured to pair each student against an opponent of similar skill. Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments.

Intro to Piano with Mrs. Blind
Let Mrs. Blind introduce you to her favorite instrument, the piano! This club is designed for young children who have little to no experience with playing the piano. We will explore the black and white keys, learn basic techniques such as hand position and finger numbers, and listen to tons of beautiful classical (and non-classical) piano music! We will learn to play some simple songs and use our ears to understand how concepts such as high and low relate to the piano keyboard. By the end of this semester, your child will be ready to launch into private piano lessons with a solid musical foundation!

Tae Kwon Do with Flying Kick
We teach our classes with a little love and a lot of discipline; the students work hard, but training is fun! The whole basis of Taekwondo training is to have children learn this martial art and the basics in a fun, enjoyable way, this helps children channel their mental and physical energy in a positive manner.

Lego Club with Amore Learning
Who doesn’t love building with LEGOs?!? In this class, we will build (pun intended!) upon this excitement by teaching LEGO enthusiasts about engineering – how to make a plan, execute it, reflect upon it, consider the physics of it, and make changes for next time. Tapping into our executive functioning skills, we will use our imaginations to build new innovations while learning about the classics (Eiffel Tower, Burj Khalifa, Big Ben, etc!). This course will conclude with a final “showcase of learning” during which families will be invited to the classroom to see what has been learned, and maybe even to build alongside their children if they’re lucky!

Give your child a head start in the world of fashion with our sewing afterschool class. Our experienced instructors provide age-appropriate projects and guidance, so your child can learn to sew in a safe and fun environment. Plus, we use plastic needles to give parents peace of mind while their children explore the world of fashion!

Speech Therapy Club with Michelyve Allen
The Speech Therapy Club is designed to help students enhance their articulation, language, and social skills in a supportive group setting. Led by an experienced speech-language pathologist, our sessions provide targeted practice in speech clarity and language development while fostering essential social skills like emotional regulation and team building. The group environment encourages collaborative learning and offers students the chance to practice social interactions and build confidence. All enrolled students will receive a personalized account for educational games to continue their practice at home. Story Time with Willow & Ms. Wendt
Come read stories with CHS Therapy Dog, Willow! Each session will begin with a brief walk with Willow up Hunt Ave (the fire drill route). Students will be invited to pet Willow, feed her a treat, and learn about the basics of dog care. We will read stories and, with Willow’s help, practice some calm mindfulness strategies.

Lego Club with DEILAB
DEILAB delivers exciting fun and engaging hands-on project based learning with LEGO as a tool to teach design, engineering and innovation concepts. Students build art projects, skyscrapers, race cars and motorized battle and more in this STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) innovation program. This hands-on program focuses on rapid prototyping and testing, while enhancing curiosity and ingenuity. DEILAB uses Toys as Tools to Teach.

Atelier Adventures with Amore Learning
We invite young artists to explore various artistic mediums, and nurture self-expression! Each class focuses on a different artist and their renowned technique. Through a series of unique projects, we will experiment with these different techniques, materials, and styles, and work collaboratively to encourage one another. Students will have opportunities to showcase their creations during class exhibitions, promoting a sense of confidence and accomplishment. Join us for a journey of self-discovery, self-expression, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts in a welcoming and inspiring environment!
